Health & Safety Requirements • Dogs must be healthy, free of contagious conditions, and up to date on Rabies and Distemper vaccines (proof required). • We strongly recommend Bordetella and Heartworm prevention. • Dogs must be on flea/tick prevention and have nails at a safe length. • If your dog is sick or showing symptoms, please keep them home until they are well. • Dogs with fleas, ticks, or parasites may be sent home or treated at your expense. Behavior • Dogs must not be aggressive, excessively protective, or dangerous. • We may dismiss a dog from daycare at any time for safety or health reasons. Owner Responsibility • You are responsible for any injury or damage your dog causes to people, other pets, or property. • You must provide a local emergency contact who can pick up your dog if needed. • If your dog requires medication or special care, we’ll make every effort to follow instructions but are not liable for complications. Veterinary Care If your dog becomes ill or injured, we’ll try to reach you first. If needed, we may seek veterinary care at your expense. Handling & Grooming We may perform light handling (brushing, nail trims, cleaning). Minor issues (scratches, clipper irritation, stress reactions) may occur and are not our responsibility. Media Release We may take photos or videos of your dog for marketing and social media. Payment & Late Fees • Payment is due at pick-up. • Late pick-ups are charged $1 per minute after closing. Abandonment If a dog is not picked up within hours of operation, and we cannot reach you or your emergency contact, the dog may be considered abandoned under NY law. You remain responsible for all charges. Liability & Indemnification Daycare is social and carries some risk of injury. By signing below, you release and hold harmless The DogScape LLC, its staff, and affiliates from all claims, damages, or liabilities related to your dog’s participation. You agree to cover any costs or claims resulting from your dog’s actions.
